ABOUT US
We found the perfect location, situated only 2 miles from Brown County State Park entrance, 1.5 miles from the artist colony of Nashville and the Brown County Music Center. We nestled our home on 9 beautifully wooded acres overlooking Salt Creek and the town of Nashville, IN. When we built our home, it was important to us that we pay attention to our natural resources. There were so many trees that had to come down and that was a very sad thing for us. So we decided to use the trees harvested from our property as the wood floors and the trim in our home. We had solar panels installed to capture the sunlight that removing the trees had exposed. We also added an electric car charger to further utilize our solar energy. We think it will be awhile before we can do an electric car, but hey, we are moving that way.
We both enjoy our little town with its many quaint restaurants and shops, the new music center, and riding the ranked, (but Becky thinks not-so-well marked) mountain bike trails of Brown County State Park. If you should need a trail guide, with both bike and people first aid, he’s your guy.
While at home we drink coffee! -and not just any coffee. Peter roasts his own beans, and makes sure that they are ground fresh. We read books together, try all kinds of various vegetarian and vegan recipes, watch movies, and laugh a lot. We also argue over politics because one is liberal and the other conservative, but we love Jesus and each other deeply and always kiss and make up pretending to appreciate the other’s point of view, all the while believing the other is dead wrong !Traveling is something we do many times a year since our family is all over the world. We have immediate family in Berlin, Germany, North Carolina, Indiana, Florida, and California. We have a teardrop camper and usually travel on a shoestring budget with two or three bikes strapped to the top looking for the best place to enjoy a good trail ride along the way.
